Short Bio

Jim Casey is a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Digital Humanities at Princeton University. He is a national co-director of the award-winning Colored Conventions Project and co-editor of the forthcoming essay collection, Colored Conventions in the Nineteenth Century and the Digital Age. His research interests include nineteenth-century American literature, print culture, the history of editing, and the public digital humanities, along with a manuscript-in-progress on The Invention of Editors. He serves as an instructor at HILT and on the advisory board of the Research Society for American Periodicals.
